It has been on my heart for quite some time to address this topic as I’ve seen it it in the Metaphysical Community. Spiritual Snobbery. Have you come across this?
We are all here to move along our own path and learn our own lessons. We are all equal in the eyes of our Creator. Just because one person may be further along on their path than a person who is just beginning to awaken, it doesn’t mean one is better than or more advanced than the other. We just are.
Just a disclaimer; by no means do I consider myself an expert in Spirituality. I am always learning, always growing, and know that I have more to learn. Please be sure to hear me there. I don’t consider myself to be a teacher and I’m not sure if I aspire to be one just yet either. We will see where my guides take me! However, I do feel like I can be helpful, supportive, guiding, and a leader. I do feel like I can help others through sharing my experiences, gifts, and knowledge.
With that said, I am often seeing others in this community who feel the need to…hmmmm…how do I put this? They don’t allow people to go through their stuff, live their experiences. There’s a little bit of looking down upon, condescending tone, or air of superiority to their posts or to their responses to people on social media, and even in person. People. Just because you think or feel like you are enlightened, it doesn’t mean that everyone is on the same level as you or that they NEED to be. They are right where they are supposed to be for THEIR journey. If we are truly trying to forge the path of living in love and being that example to the world, it would seem to me that not allowing people to grow at their own rate is the exact opposite of that. We can’t force ideas or concepts onto people. We need to love them right where they’re at!
I recently asked a question in a group about Twin Flames. My question was about color rays as I have heard some Twins refer to themselves as Blue Rays, Gold Rays, etc. I was just curious to learn more about this topic as there is not a lot of information out there about it. I wanted to expand my knowledge base as I am a Twin and I work with many Twins. One of the replies to this question reminded me again why I wanted to talk so badly about this topic of Spiritual Snobbery!! In this reply, the person assumed that 1) I was asking because I thought a color ray would identify who I was, 2) that I would make some sort of move based off the information and 3)linked it to how we differentiate different colored people in our current society. Um, WHAT?! All that from a simple question? This is how we learn and grow. We ask questions, we learn from others, we go through our experiences. Has something like that ever happened to you? You just ask a question to simply further your knowledge and you get answers like that? Or you share an experience and someone rains on your parade or puts it down? Don’t let it get to you. Keep seeking answers, truth, and information. There is not a damn thing wrong with that. Don’t let anyone deter you from learning more.
I’ve seen people ask questions and get responses about how they are stuck in lower vibrational energies, their chakras are misaligned, their twin is just mirroring their darkest fears (which sometimes this is true). Sometimes people are just having a tough day and they post because they need a little empathy or compassion, right? Need to know they aren’t alone! I want you all to know that it is PERFECTLY ok to go through what you’re going through. It’s ok to have your feelings. Let them come up and come out. Process them. I feel like some of these “Spiritual Snobs” make us feel like we have to always focus on love and light when that is not always the case (and be aware when you might be acting like a Spiritual Snob yourself!). We have a dark side too. It is ok to acknowledge our dark side. Just don’t live there.
So, how do you spot a “Spiritual Snob?” Personally, I think it is semi-obvious. How do you feel from the interaction? You usually don’t come away from it feeling very positive or lifted up. Some examples I’ve noticed in Spiritual Snobs; Those who are critical of Light Workers, Empaths, Twin Flames, etc that are fighting their darkness. Those who insist you should ONLY ever focus on “love and light.” Someone who insinuates your issues are because your vibration is not high enough. Those who let their ego do the talking in the name of Spirituality. They tend to see themselves as superior to others instead of seeing everyone as the beautiful souls that they are.
Remember that ascension is about learning to live in our Heart. Unconditional love. To see the world and all beings as Love and from Love. When we get to that place (and in complete honesty, I’m not completely there yet!!!), we know that everything is perfect just as it is. We allow others to be who they are, where they are, doing what they are here to do. We offer GUIDANCE and SUPPORT and constructive criticism, LOVE, and ACCEPTANCE.
I hope you find this helpful as you are moving along on your journey. Follow your intuition and what resonates with you, that will be your best guide.
Much Love xx,
Kristine
